|Transgourmet Quality Control|
Transgourmet, as a company specialising in food distribution, is characterised by professional efficiency and capability to provide high quality service to our customers.
In this regard, we are committed to establishing an Integrated Food Quality and Safety Management System, making available to our customers the human means and resources necessary to provide efficient, safe, quality products and services and guarantee continuous improvement.
One of our priorities is to guarantee the Food Safety of our products. To achieve this objective, all our centres are subject to internal/external audits and have an internal system based on the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
We currently hold the ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certificates, which are a guarantee of the quality of service we offer our customers:
- ISO 9001: this standard is based on a series of quality management principles that include a strong focus on the customer, the motivation and involvement of senior management, and a focus on processes and continuous improvement.
- IS0 22000: is an international standard that defines the requirements that must be met by a food safety management system to ensure the safety of food throughout the entire food chain.
In addition, it is also worth noting that we actively participate in Food Safety forums, such as those organised by the Spanish Commercial Codification Association (AECOC), the Spanish Association of Distributors, Self-Service and Supermarkets (ASEDAS) or the Euromadi Group, for which we are members of the committee.
All suppliers that manufacture our own-brand products are certified or audited by independent entities according to international quality standards, including IFS, BRC, ISO and GLOBAL GALP.
In addition, our products are analysed periodically by independent laboratories to ensure both adequate sanitary parameters and optimal level of quality.
Reduction of the presence of palm oil
We are committed to reducing the presence of palm fat in our own-brand products. We are therefore working with our suppliers so that, whenever technologically possible, this type of fat is replaced. And in cases where it is not possible, palm oil with a sustainability certificate is used to ensure that it comes from sustainable sources.
Collaboration plan to improve the composition of food and beverages and other measures 2017-2020
We are adhering to the Strategy for Nutrition, Physical Activity and Prevention of Obesity (NAOS), a collaboration plan for improving the composition of food and beverages promoted by the Ministry of Health, together with several members and stakeholders of the Food Sector.
